Challenges

The existing shop had grown over the years: more than a dozen apps for bundles, search, cart, translations, and reviews, each with its own costs, styling, and loading behavior. Added to that were over 75% mobile traffic, 8 markets, 4 languages, a subscription model, and ambitious conversion goals. A relaunch while remaining operational, without jeopardizing revenue.

Solutions

Cleanup before dressing up: We consolidated the app landscape and integrated as much as possible natively into the theme, from bundles and search to the cart drawer. FAQs and the Help Center run via Metaobjects as a single source of truth, including FAQ schema for Google and AI search. The 4 language versions receive a clean directory structure per country and language. Designed mobile-first, together with Campbell & Jones. And because bluu is growing strongly through subscriptions, the subscription experience has been placed at the center of the product pages.

Biotta was running a dual strategy: the corporate website on an enterprise CMS, and the shop separately on Shopify. Two systems, double the maintenance, high fixed costs. Added to this was the specific challenge of the industry: claims regarding the benefits and ingredients of organic juices are sensitive. Every formulation must be legally sound. A product range with dozens of juices, cleanses, and nutritional profiles needs to be structured so that the right juice can be found in three clicks. And all of this in four languages, now including Italian, with around 380 redirects from the old system.

Solutions

One platform instead of two: website and shop entirely on Shopify, with a custom theme and clean content structure via Metaobjects. A product finder filters by product type, benefit, ingredients, and nutrients, while availability icons show what is available online and in stores. We intentionally built the benefit communication to be flexible, so it remains adaptable if legal counsel rejects a phrasing. UI design in collaboration with Campbell & Jones. The result: a system, lower operating costs, and a team that can manage content in four languages without an agency.

Challenges

The timeline was ambitious: inquiry in late summer, live before Christmas. The catch: Shopify + Odoo with three entities and four markets. And the front page was already built in Webflow. On top of that, a product range that isn't standard e-commerce: vouchers (digital and physical), merch with warehouses in three countries, simulators starting at CHF 65,000, and software licenses. Each product type requires its own rules, otherwise the logic at checkout explodes.

Solutions

System over design: SKU logic, variants, and market rules were established before the first section was built. We conceived Webflow and Shopify as a single system. Navigation, tracking, and cookie consent run seamlessly across both platforms. For simulators, there are contact CTAs instead of buy buttons; for vouchers, a clean market logic; and for software, automated license flows. Design by Campbell & Jones, Odoo site with Twio. An online shop is not just a frontend project, but a system project.

Herausforderungen

B2C shop, dealer portal with individual terms, physical stores with POS, orthopedic shoes with batch tracking requirements, and customs data on every delivery note. All in one system. Prices, processes, and payment logic sometimes differ significantly between B2B and B2C. In such cases, a shop quickly becomes a company's central operating system.

Lösungen

For B2B, we used native Shopify functionality instead of expensive add-on apps: customer tags, tiered pricing, and merchant login, implemented within the Grow Plan rather than Plus. Customs and batch data (EORI, HS codes, traceability) are integrated as metafields flowing through to invoices and delivery notes. In addition, we implemented Shopify POS for the stores, TWINT, DPD shipping, and the migration of all product and customer data from the legacy system. Branding and design guidelines were developed in collaboration with Campbell & Jones.

Three systems, three data streams: front page on Wix, shop on Shopify, video content on a course platform. Added to this was a wide range of trainings, challenges, courses, books, and products that first needed structure online. And: digital products work differently than physical ones. Who gets what access when, and what happens with duplicates?

Goldenbody

Solutions

Everything on one platform, clear product structure, custom theme. Course access is now automated: purchase in the shop, access is created, done. In addition, we developed our own nutritional analysis tool, which receives daily analyses. The numbers prove Laura right: 4.8 out of 5 stars from almost 800 reviews, and nearly 20% of all purchases are now product bundles. A feature we built specifically for that purpose.

Modular premium furniture is the opposite of standard e-commerce: leather, colors, modules. Almost infinite combinations, each with its own price, in multiple currencies and three languages. The 3D configurator runs via an external tool (pCon) in an iFrame. Sounds simple at first. But it isn't, at least not when it comes to displaying prices in different countries.

de Sede
de Sede

Solutions

We built our own Price Service, which accurately calculates manufacturer data, currencies, and rounding logic. Each configuration is created as a separate product in Shopify and automatically deleted again after a few weeks. In addition, we used Shopify Markets for CHF/EUR, three languages including Chinese, an outlet shop, and as much as possible solved directly in the Theme Editor so that the de Sede team can continue working without a developer. Since then, we have been continuously developing the platform.

Herausforderungen

The configurator provides net manufacturer prices. However, the shop requires sales prices per product group, including margins, VAT, and clean rounding. And because Kibemo is heavily involved in B2B, a shopping cart alone is not enough: many customers want a quote first. Two worlds, one flow.

Kibemo
Kibemo

Lösungen

A dedicated price service converts manufacturer data in real time, per product group and with clean rounding logic. Every configuration is automatically created as a Shopify product and cleaned up after twelve weeks. After configuring, the customer chooses: order or request a quote, with the configuration attached directly to the inquiry. On mobile, the configurator only loads upon click to keep the page fast. Even the software manufacturer took positive note of the integration.

How do you demonstrate at the group level what 11 companies have in common? All food-related, but very different. It was less about unification and more about structure: for shareholders, partners, applicants, and customers. Coupled with this, the valid question: Can Shopify handle the corporate website of a publicly listed company? Ad-hoc announcements must be publishable even during a service disruption, annual reports must be secure, and the download center must be reliable.

Lösungen

First, the system question: In a thorough evaluation, we pitted enterprise platforms against Shopify, using a four-year cost model and scoring instead of gut feeling. Shopify won. Then the implementation: custom theme, download center, news subscription service, interactive location map, DE/EN. For malfunctions, there is a fallback architecture with monitoring and automatic failover. Structure is more important than volume. And Shopify also works in a corporate setup. Branding by Johan Olzon, design with Campbell & Jones.

Big brand, lean budget. Frank needed to hold its own alongside de Sede, yet without becoming a second project of the same scale. Add to that two markets with their own pricing and currencies, product data from the ERP, and a team that wants to manage content in-house in the future.

Frank Sitzmöbel FSM
Frank Sitzmöbel FSM

Solutions

We reused the proven architecture from the de Sede project and relaunched it in a leaner form: Shopify Markets for CH/DE with CHF and EUR pricing, store locator, product families with cross-selling, and downloads via Metaobjects. Price updates run as controlled bulk processes directly from ERP exports. After training, the team maintains collections and content independently. Exactly how it should be.

Nicolis does not sell products off the shelf, but rather systems tailored to the customer. The range extends from the TR-160 for indexable inserts to the WA 5000 Brilliant, which combines blasting, ultrasonic cleaning, and drying in a single machine. Added to this are two processes with their own fields of application, an international audience speaking multiple languages, and a target group that expects technical depth. The task was to narrate this complexity in such a way that a purchaser could understand within two minutes whether Nicolis is the right fit for them.

We built the site around the technology: wet and dry blasting each have their own page covering processes, applications, and industries, with the homepage serving as an entry point to both worlds and concluding with an inquiry form. Animations based on the systems' CAD data replace lengthy explanatory texts, and the company history since 1973 is presented as a timeline. Technically, it is a custom theme on Shopify, set up to be multilingual, with a section structure that allows the same components to be reused in different designs. The theme is hosted on GitHub so that every change remains traceable. And in the inquiry form, the prospective customer specifies which process they are interested in, allowing the sales team to qualify the lead directly.

Master does not sell products, but instruments and knowledge: personality analyses such as MPA, OPTO, and OPTO+, cognitive tests such as ACE and CORE, the EASI team analysis, and the Master People Platform. The old website was tied to the international parent brand and explained the tools, but not when to use which one. Add to this three languages, course registrations, downloads that in some cases must only be visible to customers, and an HR target audience without a degree in psychology.

We approached the design based on the use case: four areas of application—Recruiting, Development, Team, and Leadership—each lead to the appropriate combination of instruments, rather than leaving the visitor to guess between product pages. Each instrument has its own product page with a consistent layout to make comparisons easy. Downloads are managed via Shopify customer accounts: public documents for everyone, training materials only after logging in. Everything is trilingual in German, French, and English, including the images with embedded text. And there is a section library that allows Master to build new product pages independently.
