Hux Agency is a small agency from Zurich with a clear focus: Shopify. Custom design, development, integrations, everything within the Shopify ecosystem. At a price-performance level you will struggle to find elsewhere in Switzerland.

About Us

Small is by design with us. You speak directly to the people implementing your project. No account management, no loss of information during handovers, no retainers that make agencies lazy. Every minute is tracked and billed transparently. We work with great attention to detail, honestly and directly. And always with the goal that your shop not only looks good, but also works.

Our experience

How it all began

We know business. We’ve had one ourselves.

It all started with used cement bags from construction sites in Cambodia. In 2016, Nicolas turned them into Elephbo: a Swiss brand for backpacks, bags, sneakers and accessories made from recycled material, sold mainly through its own online shop. He raised CHF 500'000 in funding and led a team of seven people in Switzerland. In Cambodia, he built an NGO with nine employees in recycling and helped set up production partners in Siem Reap and Bosnia. Elephbo won the Kabel1 award for best recycling product, and Nicolas received the ZHAW Alumni Award. In 2023, Elephbo was sold to Surs AG. So we know what it feels like to be on the client side.

Nicolas Huxley

Nicolas has been building e-commerce brands since 2016: first Elephbo, then as CMO at Surs AG, where he built Lovis Beauty and GoBright and led a complete rebrand of surs.ch. After that, he was CRO at coachbetter. Before all that, he was a consultant at EY. At ZHAW, where he studied, he now teaches entrepreneurship as a guest lecturer. In 2024, he founded Hux Agency. He knows what you expect from an agency because he spent years on the other side of the table. That is why he leads every project personally, from the first workshop to go-live.
