Team, website and Shopify systems at HUX Agency
More projects mean more people, more processes and more complex systems. A look at our website, working with Ferdi and integrating Shopify with ERP systems.

You need a team
When several Shopify projects and consulting mandates run at the same time, one thing becomes obvious pretty quickly: you cannot do everything alone.
An important part of our team is Ferdinand. Ferdi originally studied architecture before moving into E-Commerce. His focus is web development using HTML, CSS, PHP, Java and Liquid.
His previous projects include Boozy.ph, Ecoshop.ph, Rarefoodshop.com and Mysushi.ph.

Your own website is always harder
Designing websites for clients often feels much easier than designing your own. Our HUX Agency website was no exception.
The first concept looked too much like a classic branding agency. It felt too generic. We then experimented with stronger graphics and bolder designs until the right direction slowly became clear.
One central idea became horizontal navigation. Instead of moving down through the page, users move sideways through the content.
We are building the website ourselves on Shopify. It should also demonstrate what the platform can do beyond a traditional online shop.

Connecting ERP and Shopify
At the same time, we are working on connections between ERP systems and Shopify. One example is Microsoft Dynamics.
For basic requirements, existing connectors can synchronise customers, products and orders between Shopify and the ERP.
Things become more complex with variants, financial data or specific requirements. A standard connector is not always enough. In those cases, additional middleware and clearly defined logic between the systems are needed.
