The challenge

The homepage had already been built in Webflow by viu and needed to be seamlessly connected to the new Shopify shop. The design was created by Campbell & Jones.

What seems straightforward at first glance brings additional complexity in practice. Particularly when it comes to navigation across both platforms, cookie consent and tracking, product and collection structures, and market logic, including who is allowed to buy what and where.

On top of that, there was an ambitious timeline and the requirement to integrate Shopify and Odoo properly.

Our solution

We transferred the existing design to Shopify, built the entire online shop and implemented the integration with Odoo. On the ERP side, the setup was supported structurally to ensure processes and data structures were clearly defined. The shop has been live since December.

Three lessons from the project: ERP integration is not a feature, it is the foundation. SKU logic, variants, entities and markets should be defined before design decisions are made, as changes later on significantly increase the workload.

Multi-system setups require clear UX decisions. Webflow and Shopify work reliably together when navigation, tracking and consent are treated as one integrated system.

Digital products follow different rules from traditional e-commerce. Vouchers, software and contact CTAs require their own logic. Without a clear structure, the checkout becomes unnecessarily complex.
